MEET THE DOCTOR
Dr. Towning is a graduate of The Ohio State University. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology in 2006, and in 2011, she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. In addition, she completed an Advanced General Dentistry residency at UCLA.
At Towning Dental, we provide all services with the patient’s comfort and well-being in mind. We strive to develop a personal and individualized relationship with our patients along with providing excellent service.
The doctor will thoroughly check your teeth and gums for signs of cavities, infection, gingivitis, and periodontal disease.
We use the highest quality digital sensors to check for cavities between your teeth or any abnormalities below your gum line.
Highly recommended by dental professionals, fluoride has been proven to prevent cavities by re-mineralizing tooth structure.
We use a small digital camera to take pictures of your teeth that the doctor can then review with you on a large tv monitor.
Occlusal Guards are used as therapy for people who clench or grind their teeth (usually at night) or have significant jaw/ear pain.
The doctor will thoroughly check your gums, cheeks, tongue, and skin for any abnormal changes and can also counsel patients on ways to prevent oral cancer.
We only use white composite fillings when fixing cavities. It offers a more conservative treatment while making the filling look more natural.
Crowns are used when a tooth is either too broken down for a filling, has been root-canal treated, or when replacing an existing crown. A Bridge is used to replace a missing tooth.
Veneers are a thin layer of porcelain that are glued to the front of the tooth to cover up teeth that are dark, chipped, and/or misshapen.
When a tooth is missing, a dental implant is an excellent option for tooth replacement. An implant crown is the restoration that goes on top of the implant and is what you see when you smile and what you use for chewing and everyday function.
Periodontal therapy that is sometimes referred to as a "deep cleaning", which removes calculus, plaque, and bacteria below the gum line.
